Job OverviewAs an Academic Counsellor, you will guide prospective students in choosing the right programs
based on their goals and career aspirations. This is a target-oriented and performance-based role, requiring strong communication, counselling, and decision-support skills. Key Responsibilities
1.Student Counselling & GuidanceInteract with students via calls, WhatsApp, email, or in-person.
Understand their academic background and career interests.
Recommend the most suitable QT courses and learning paths.
2.Program KnowledgeMaintain complete understanding of all QT programs, curriculums, and new offerings.
Clearly explain course content, duration, fees, projects, and placement benefits.
Address student queries with accurate information.
3.Lead Conversion & Follow-UpConvert enquiries into enrolments through effective counselling.
Follow up with interested students regularly.
Handle objections confidently and help students make informed decisions.
4.Career GuidanceHelp students understand job roles, industry trends, and career opportunities related to QT courses.
Provide clarity on internships, project work, and placement support.
5.Documentation & CRMUpdate all student interactions and counselling details in the CRM.
Track lead status, follow-ups, and pending decisions.
Share daily, weekly, and monthly counselling reports.
6.CollaborationCoordinate with Program Guides (Tele callers) for smooth lead flow.
Share insights on student trends and common concerns.
7.Student SupportAssist enrolled students with academic or course-related queries.
Ensure students feel supported and satisfied throughout their learning journey.
8.Webinars & WorkshopsConduct 1:1 or group counselling sessions and webinars.
Participate in promotional academic events to increase program awareness.
Key Performance IndicatorsEnrolment conversion rate
Quality and frequency of follow-ups
Number of counselling sessions completed
Accuracy in CRM and documentation
Collaboration with the sales team
Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree (Education/Psychology/Business preferred).
13 years experience in counselling, EdTech, training institutes, or academic sales.
Excellent communication & explanation skills.
Strong listening, problem-solving, and student-handling skills.
Ability to convince, guide, and motivate students.
CRM and MS Office proficiency.
Target-driven and organized.
Preferred AttributesExperience in training institutes or EdTech organizations.
Knowledge of IT courses and career pathways.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Business formals or complete professional dressing is strictly mandatory.
