Role OverviewWe're looking for a passionate and proactive Academic Counsellor to join our team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for aspiring students helping them understand our programs, discover their potential, and make confident decisions about their creative careers.
You'll guide learners through personalized counselling, support them in choosing the right course paths, and ensure a smooth and engaging admissions experience from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions (in person, over phone, or video) to understand student goals and recommend suitable programs
- Assist prospective students in navigating their academic options and career direction
- Address queries related to courses, admissions, and learning outcomes
- Follow up with inquiries and maintain strong lead conversion through a structured CRM system
- Collaborate with the admissions and marketing teams to support enrolment goals
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation
- Provide support throughout the student journey from first inquiry to successful onboarding
Who You Are (Qualifications & Skills)- 12 years of experience in academic counselling, admissions, or career guidance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written
- Confident in interacting with students from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to build trust, offer clear guidance, and motivate aspiring creatives
- Well-organized with strong documentation and follow-up discipline
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Communications, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Familiarity with design, creative education, or agency workflows is a bonus
- Proficient with CRM tools, spreadsheets, and basic reporting
