JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Academic Counsellor to join our team. The primary responsibility of the Academic Counsellor will be to engage with students, understand their educational aspirations, and guide them through the process of enrolling in our various coaching programs (CAT, CLAT, IPM, CUET, Judiciary & etc). The ideal candidate will have prior experience in counseling students for these specific exams and a passion for helping students succeed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Student Counseling: Interact with prospective students and their families to understand their academic goals and recommend appropriate courses and coaching programs (CAT, CLAT, IPM, CUET, Judiciary & etc).
Admissions Guidance: Assist students in the entire enrollment process, including course selection, fee structure explanation, and program details.
Lead Conversion: Follow up with leads, convert inquiries into enrollments by addressing their concerns, and providing them with the right information to make informed decisions.
Performance Tracking: Maintain records of student inquiries, applications, and conversions. Ensure timely follow-ups and track the progress of leads.
Student Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with students to ensure a positive counseling experience and increase student retention.
Information Sharing: Stay updated on exam details, course offerings, and admission timelines related to CAT, CLAT, IPM, Judiciary and CUET to effectively counsel students.
Feedback and Reporting: Provide feedback to the management team on student concerns, market trends, and competitor analysis.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: 1-5 years of experience in academic counseling, preferably with a focus on competitive exams like CAT, CLAT, IPM, CUET, Design & Judiciary.
Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in any discipline (preferably in education, psychology, or business).
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely to students and parents.
Counseling Expertise: Experience in understanding student needs, guiding them through course selection, and addressing their academic concerns.
Sales and Conversion Skills: Ability to follow up with leads, convert inquiries into enrollments, and meet enrollment targets.
Customer-Centric Approach: Empathy towards students academic challenges and a strong desire to help them succeed.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to handle student concerns and provide effective solutions.
Knowledge of Exams: In-depth understanding of CAT, CLAT, IPM, and CUET exams, including their syllabi, eligibility criteria, and application processes.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience in working with EdTech companies or educational institutes.
Knowledge of digital tools used for counseling and lead management (CRM software, etc.).
