Role Description

This full-time, on-site Academic Counsellor role is based in Port Blair. The Academic Counsellor will provide guidance to prospective students regarding courses, career paths, and enrollment processes. Responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, offering tailored program recommendations, addressing inquiries, and explaining course content. Engaging with potential students to understand their interests and goals, managing documentation, and maintaining accurate records of student interactions are key aspects of the role. The role extends to collaborating with the management team to meet enrollment goals and provide support throughout the admission process.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills to engage with students effectively
  • Proficiency in guidance and career counseling, with the ability to assess student interests and align them with suitable programs
  • Organized and detail-oriented with knowledge of handling administrative tasks and documentation
  • Experience using CRM tools and office productivity software
  • Problem-solving skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Previous experience in counseling, education, or a customer service role is advantageous
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preferably in Education, Psychology, or related fields
  • Familiarity with the animation, VFX, gaming, or media industry is a plus
