As an ACA Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting the future of SSD technology by leading competitive analysis initiatives. This is your opportunity to work with a world-class team, driving Micron's mission to deliver outstanding memory and storage solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify trends in NAND algorithms, performance, power, and new technologies among competitors.
  • Maintain strong technical relationships with internal teams such as component competitive analysis, NAND architecture teams, and product development teams.
  • Collaborate with system architects to define policies that improve Micron's SSDs, aiming for outstanding products.
  • Write software to automate testing and extract information from drives under test.
  • Generate new intellectual property and patents while maintaining a database of collected test information.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8+ years of engineering experience in design, product, test, support, system, or applications.
  • Proficiency in SSD or HDD architecture, design, analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows, VMware) and device drivers.
  • Experience with storage protocols (SATA/ATA, SAS, NVMe) and NAND management.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Detailed knowledge of NAND flash, solid-state drives, and/or hard disk drives.
  • Experience with high-speed digital scopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, and Data Acquisition systems.
  • Proficiency in software development, preferably Python.
  • Strong organizational and self-motivated abilities.
  • Ability to travel internationally and work across multiple engineering fields.
