Position: QA Lead (Sr. QA Engineer)

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-driven QA Engineer with 4–5 years of experience in Manual Testing, preferably in Web Application Testing, along with exposure to Automation Testing. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in validating end-to-end business workflows, identifying defects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.

The candidate will be responsible for understanding business and functional requirements, preparing comprehensive test scenarios and test cases, executing various types of manual testing, and reporting defects with clear root cause analysis. The role requires hands-on experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, Sanity, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), with a strong focus on web-based applications across multiple browsers and devices.

The ideal candidate should have experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, collaborating closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure complete test coverage are essential.

Exposure to Automation Testing using Selenium WebDriver, API Testing using Postman or REST Assured, SQL for database validation, and defect tracking tools such as Jira will be an added advantage. The candidate should be passionate about software quality, process improvement, and delivering reliable, user-friendly applications within project timelines

Roles & Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to understand application functionality and testing scope.
• Design, develop, review, and maintain detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Perform Manual Testing for web applications, including Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, Sanity, Exploratory, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Validate end-to-end business workflows, user journeys, and application functionality across multiple browsers, devices, and operating systems.
• Execute test cases, document test results, identify defects, and perform root cause analysis to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Log, track, verify, and retest defects using defect management tools such as Jira, ensuring timely resolution and closure.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Perform database validation using SQL queries to verify backend data integrity and consistency.
• Conduct API testing using Postman or REST Assured to validate request/response behavior and service functionality.
• Support automation initiatives by creating, maintaining, or executing Selenium-based automation test scripts where applicable.
• Perform regression testing for new releases and change requests to ensure existing functionality remains unaffected.
• Ensure adherence to QA standards, testing methodologies, and best practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Prepare and maintain test execution reports, defect metrics, test summary reports, and other QA documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to enhancing overall testing efficiency and product quality.
• Stay up to date with emerging testing tools, technologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve testing capabilities.
