Position Title: Group Product Manager
Educational Qualification - Pharmacy or science background (preferably with an MBA degree)
Experience - 5 to 10 years of experience
Reports To : Marketing Head
Position Summary:
Accountability:
· To ensure that each brand handled is self-sustaining and contributes to the overall objective of the company in terms of market share and profits.
Level of responsibility
· High
Scope:
· Area covered - Pan India
· Marketing activities & inputs planning (collaboration along with seniors)
· New marketing activities (collaboration along with seniors)
· New product launch (collaboration along with seniors)
· Marketing communication (collaboration along with seniors)
Decisions referred to higher authority:
· Brand Plan preparation and overall strategy preparation
· CME/Symposia Planning
· Budgetary control and Brand related decisions like alteration of Pricing, and Trade Bonus
· Alteration of TPs/MRPs and profitability decisions for brands
KEY RESULT AREAS:
· Managing & handling the brands assigned
· Formulate and coordinate marketing activities to promote key brands
· Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of established objectives & market characteristics.
· Identify market growth opportunities and develop strategic brand planning, market analysis, tactical sales support & product management.
· Accountable for launch of new products
· Market share objective of the brand
· Internal Achievement of Targets
· Timely activities to achieve target objectives
· Gathering customer insights and customer relationship
Assessment and Planning of Work
· 75% of the work is Individual driven in the area of data analysis and planning of promo inputs
· 25% of the work is division related, therapy related and sales related

· Timely delivery of the inputs so the implementation can be successful
· Convincing the internal customers for right implementation & execution of the planned activities

· Gift manufacturers for procurement of compliments
· Printers for Co-ordination to ensure quality and timeliness are met with
· KOL
Internal Contacts:
· Sales team : TMs, RBMs, ZBMs ,SBU-Head for feedback regarding promotion and marketing and sales query
· Purchase
· Market Research for Retail and Prescription data
· Medical Department for medical query, launch plan and promotion theme approval
· Demand Planning team for Stock management
· In-licensing and outsourcing team for new products, packing specification, line extensions
Technical Competencies:
· Ability to set the necessary marketing strategy for creating required push and pull in the market to enhance the presence of the company brand.
· Continuously evaluates sales data and information including competitive brands information and monitors own brand performance versus competition.
· New brand launches based on the overall business focus & strategy
· Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources.
· Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
· Knowledge of ethical marketing.
· Knowledge of launching new products, increasing product portfolios.
