About The Opportunity

We are hiring an MBBS Medical Officer to run evening and night OPD shifts at a busy neighbourhood clinic. This on-site role focuses on delivering high-quality outpatient care, managing acute presentations, coordinating diagnostics, and ensuring excellent patient communication for a diverse local population.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient clinical assessment, diagnosis and evidence-based treatment during assigned shift (4:009:00 PM or 9:00 PM2:00 AM).
  • Manage acute and urgent presentations, perform initial stabilization, and arrange timely referrals when needed.
  • Order and interpret routine diagnostic tests (labs, basic imaging) and communicate results and next steps to patients.
  • Maintain accurate, legible clinical records and prescriptions; ensure compliance with clinic documentation standards.
  • Counsel patients on treatment plans, medication adherence, preventive care and follow-up scheduling.
  • Work closely with nursing and front-desk staff to ensure smooth patient flow and uphold clinic quality and safety protocols.

Essential Qualifications

  • MBBS degree with valid medical registration
  • Minimum 1 year clinical experience, preferably in OPD/clinic settings
  • Conversational fluency in Kannada (ability to communicate with local patients)
  • Availability for assigned shifts: 4:00 PM9:00 PM or 9:00 PM2:00 AM (on-site)

Compensation & Culture Highlights

  • Fixed monthly stipend: INR 20,000 per shift assignment plus 10% share of diagnostics profit for the shift.
