About the Role:
We are seeking aSenior Data Migration Consultantwith specialized experience inCAD data migrationforDassault Systmes 3DEXPERIENCE implementations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with tools such asEDAT(Engineering Data Authoring Tool) and/orTransition Assistant, and strong development skills inJavaand.NETfor customizing and automating the migration processes.
This is a highly technical role requiring in-depth knowledge of engineering data models, PLM systems, and data transformation practices, with a focus on seamless migration from legacy systems into the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end CAD data migration projects, including scoping, mapping, staging, transformation, validation, and post-load processing.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using EDAT,Transition Assistant, or other Dassault Systmes-authorized migration tools.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand legacy data structures, define migration rules, and ensure clean, consistent data migration into 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Develop custom migration scripts and tools usingJava,.NET, or other relevant technologies to handle specialized or high-volume data operations.
- Conduct validation and reconciliation procedures to ensure data integrity post-migration.
- Optimize performance of bulk data operations, including CAD assembly relationships, attributes, file links, and document metadata.
- Support the development of migration strategies for on-premise and cloud-based 3DEXPERIENCE environments.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of migration plans, data mappings, and transformation logic.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience inPLM Data Migration, with at least 2+ years focused onDassault Systmes (3DEXPERIENCE) platforms.
- Strong expertise in CAD data migration usingEDAT,Transition Assistant, or equivalent tools.
- Proficient inJavaand.NETfor scripting, tooling, and integration development.
- Solid understanding ofengineering data structures, BOMs, metadata, and CAD file relationships (CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, etc.).
- Experience working withSQL,XML, andWeb Services/APIsfor integration and data processing.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an eye for data accuracy and process optimization.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience migrating from legacy PDM/PLM systems such as ENOVIA VPM, SmarTeam, Agile, Windchill, EPDM, or Adept.
- Familiarity withXPDM,3DX Web Services, or other data integration mechanisms.
- Exposure to Agile delivery models and DevOps practices for migration pipeline automation.
- Prior experience working in Aerospace, Automotive, High-Tech, or Manufacturing domains.
