We are seeking a 2D Artist who can design clear, readable, and interaction-focused interfaces for a strategy-driven game featuring card layouts, grid systems, and slot-based placement mechanics. The ideal candidate understands how to reduce cognitive load and guide players through complex decisions using strong visual hierarchy and thoughtful UX.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end game UI screens and navigation flows
- Create card layouts, grid/matrix systems, and slot-based interfaces
- Design intuitive drag-and-drop interactions
- Establish clear information hierarchy for decision-heavy screens
- Deliver responsive UI layouts for mobile and desktop
- Work closely with developers to ensure implementation feasibility
- Define visual feedback, transitions, and UI animations
- Maintain consistency across all screens and components
Required Skills
- +8 years of experience as 2D Game Artist (Strategy / Card-Based Game)
- Proven experience designing UI for games (not apps/websites)
- Strong understanding of grid, inventory, and card-based layouts
- Solid UX thinking for complex interaction screens
- Experience designing for multiple aspect ratios and resolutions
- Ability to simplify dense information into intuitive layouts
- Familiarity with preparing UI assets for real-time engines (Unity preferred)
- Experience with strategy or card-based games
- Familiarity with Unity UI workflow
- Understanding of animated UI feedback and transitions
Portfolio Must Show
- Game UI screens (HUDs, inventories, card layouts, etc.)
