We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities for our skincare / pharmaceutical business in Mumbai. The role will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing product, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, timely availability and compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

 Plan and execute procurement of SKU requirements.

 Coordinate with Quality, Warehouse, Finance and other internal teams to understand purchase

requirements and timelines.

 Source and evaluate vendors based on price, quality, lead time, capacity, reliability and commercial

terms.

 Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, negotiate rates and payment terms, and support

cost-saving initiatives.

 Create and process Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure all required approvals and documentation are

completed.

 Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials as per required quantity, specification and

agreed timelines.

 Coordinate with Quality / QA teams for vendor documentation and material-related requirements, where

applicable.

 Ensure purchase documentation such as quotations, POs, invoices, vendor records, specifications and

supporting documents are properly maintained.

 Track open POs, pending deliveries, shortages, rejections, replacements and other vendor-related

issues until closure.

 Support vendor development, alternate sourcing and cost optimization for critical materials.

 Ensure procurement activities follow internal SOPs, quality requirements, compliance standards and

approved vendor processes.

Requirements

 2–5 years of relevant experience in Purchase / Procurement; pharma, skincare, cosmetics, FMCG or

manufacturing experience preferred.

 Strong vendor negotiation, communication and follow-up skills.

 Good knowledge of MS Excel, purchase processes and ERP / procurement software; experience with

IDS Software is an advantage.

 Strong analytical ability for quotation comparison, costing and commercial evaluation.

 Good understanding of inventory requirements, lead times, minimum order quantities and purchase

planning.

 Detail-oriented with strong documentation and coordination skills.

 Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements and work effectively under deadlines.

 Strong ownership, integrity and a process-oriented approach.
