AWS Cloud Operations Engineer (L3)

Experience: 5–6 Years

Location: Bengaluru / Hyderabad / Pune

Shift: 24x7 Rotational Support

Job Responsibilities

Provide L3 support for AWS cloud infrastructure in a 24x7 support environment.
Monitor and troubleshoot production issues to ensure high system availability.
Resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive measures.
Manage and support AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ELB, Auto Scaling, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Systems Manager (SSM).
Perform backup, restore, disaster recovery, patching, and infrastructure maintenance.
Support cloud migration and infrastructure enhancement activities.
Monitor system performance and optimize cloud resources.
Automate routine operational tasks using Shell, Bash, PowerShell, or Python scripting.
Support Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation (preferred).
Work with application, network, security, and DevOps teams for production support.
Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Change, Problem, and Service Request Management.
Maintain operational documents and SOPs.
Coordinate with managed service providers and internal teams for issue resolution.

Required Skills

5–6 years of experience in AWS Cloud Operations/Support.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ELB, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Route 53, Auto Scaling, SSM).
Experience in production support and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of AWS Backup and Disaster Recovery.
Basic knowledge of Linux administration.
Experience with scripting (Shell/Bash/PowerShell/Python).
Basic understanding of Terraform or CloudFormation.
Knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, Load Balancer, Security Groups).
Good understanding of ITIL Service Operations.
Working knowledge of ServiceNow for Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work in 24x7 rotational shifts.

Preferred

AWS Certification (Solutions Architect / SysOps Administrator / DevOps Engineer).
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), or CI/CD tools is an added advantage.
Experience in enterprise production support environments.
