AWS Cloud Operations Engineer (L3)

Experience: 5–6 Years

Location: Bengaluru / Hyderabad / Pune

Shift: 24x7 Rotational Support

Job Responsibilities

• Provide L3 support for AWS cloud infrastructure in a 24x7 support environment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues to ensure high system availability.
• Resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive measures.
• Manage and support AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ELB, Auto Scaling, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Systems Manager (SSM).
• Perform backup, restore, disaster recovery, patching, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Support cloud migration and infrastructure enhancement activities.
• Monitor system performance and optimize cloud resources.
• Automate routine operational tasks using Shell, Bash, PowerShell, or Python scripting.
• Support Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation (preferred).
• Work with application, network, security, and DevOps teams for production support.
• Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Change, Problem, and Service Request Management.
• Maintain operational documents and SOPs.
• Coordinate with managed service providers and internal teams for issue resolution.

Required Skills

• 5–6 years of experience in AWS Cloud Operations/Support.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ELB, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Route 53, Auto Scaling, SSM).
• Experience in production support and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of AWS Backup and Disaster Recovery.
• Basic knowledge of Linux administration.
• Experience with scripting (Shell/Bash/PowerShell/Python).
• Basic understanding of Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, Load Balancer, Security Groups).
• Good understanding of ITIL Service Operations.
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow for Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in 24x7 rotational shifts.

Preferred

• AWS Certification (Solutions Architect / SysOps Administrator / DevOps Engineer).
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), or CI/CD tools is an added advantage.
• Experience in enterprise production support environments.
