Salesforce Marketing Cloud Technical Architect

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Technical Architect who can lead end-to-end marketing automation initiatives, manage multi-channel campaigns, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive personalized customer engagement. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience across SFMC modules, strong technical capability, and a deep understanding of digital marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and optimize Marketing Cloud journeys, automations, and campaigns.
Develop and execute personalized, multi-channel marketing campaigns (Email, SMS, Push, Social, Web).
Work with Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, and Content Builder.
Create dynamic, personalized email templates using AMPscript, HTML/CSS, and SSJS.
Build SQL queries within Marketing Cloud for segmentation and data management.
Integrate Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM and other external systems.
Manage data extensions, contact models, and subscriber lists for targeted campaigns.
Monitor campaign performance and provide actionable insights through analytics and reporting.
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal policies.
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and technical teams to align business needs with platform capabilities.
Troubleshoot campaign issues, resolve technical problems, and optimize processes.

Qualifications

10-12 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Strong experience with Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Email Studio, and other SFMC modules.
Proficiency in AMPscript, SQL, HTML, CSS, and basic SSJS.
Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and Marketing Cloud integrations.
Solid understanding of data modeling, segmentation, and campaign workflows.
Experience working with Salesforce CRM and Contact model.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator / Consultant
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer (Added advantage)

Nice-to-Have

Experience with CDP (Customer Data Platform)
Knowledge of marketing analytics, attribution, and customer lifecycle management
Exposure to other Salesforce Clouds (Sales/Service Cloud)

Key Responsibilities

Lead architecture and execution of Marketo Marketing Cloud Next (Advanced) migration
Define migration strategy, including data, assets, campaigns, and integrations
Perform current-state assessment of Marketo instance (programs, lists, workflows, scoring models) and map to target architecture
Design target data model and identity resolution strategy using Salesforce Data Cloud
Architect journey orchestration and campaign transformation aligned to Marketing Cloud Next capabilities
Define and implement data migration frameworks (batch + real-time where applicable)
Lead integration design across CRM, external systems, and third-party tools (APIs, middleware)
Ensure data integrity, deduplication, and consent management during migration
Establish governance, naming conventions, and operational model for the new platform
Drive cutover strategy, testing, and hypercare support
