Position Description

The Location Incharge – Legal Claims is responsible for end-to-end legal claims management across designated locations, ensuring efficient handling, strategic litigation support, and compliance. This role demands critical decision-making, legal expertise, and strong stakeholder engagement to safeguard the company's interests while ensuring fair and efficient claim resolution.

Primary Responsibilities

Claims Assessment & Reserve Allocation

Review reported claims and recommend adequate reserve allocations and strategic next steps.
Ensure accurate assessment of potential liability and financial exposure.

Strategic Litigation Support

Develop and implement legal strategies for ongoing cases.

Discuss legal actions at every stage of litigation, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.

Investigation & Evidence Gathering

Coordinate with the Investigation Team to collect crucial documents, digital evidence, and reports.
Conduct visits to police stations, higher authorities, and other key stakeholders for legal claims investigations.

Legal Documentation & Compliance

Draft legal submissions, including Written Statements, Miscellaneous Applications, Evidence Affidavits, and appeals for judicial proceedings.
Maintain compliance with insurance regulatory frameworks and legal requirements.

Settlement Strategy & Decision Making

Make strategic recommendations on claim settlements versus legal contestation.
Ensure fair claim resolutions while mitigating company risk.

Court & Authority Representation

Appear before courts, tribunals, and law enforcement agencies as a company witness when required.

Requirements (Experience And Education)

Requirements (Experience And Education)

2–3 years of experience in legal claims management and investigations, particularly in MACT and WC/EC Claims.

Degree in law or a related field, with substantial exposure to claims handling and legal operations.

Strong ability to apply innovative strategies for optimizing claims management efficiency.

Required Skills (Tech And Behavioural)

Technical Skills:
Expertise in legal claim assessments and litigation procedures.
Familiarity with MACT and WC/EC claims handling.
Understanding of insurance regulatory frameworks and legal compliance.
Behavioural Skills:
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Detail-oriented with excellent decision-making capabilities.
Ability to build effective relationships with legal teams, police authorities, and key stakeholders.
Proactive approach to case resolutions and process improvements.
