Purpose

The Unit Head Defense Channel is responsible for driving sales growth, team building, and business development within the defense segment. The role focuses on recruiting, training, and managing a high-performing sales team while ensuring quality business, compliance, and long-term relationships with defense personnel and institutions.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Business Growth

Achieve assigned business targets through the Defense (PARAM) channel.
Plan and execute sales strategies to increase penetration within defense establishments.
Monitor productivity, conversion ratios, and revenue performance.

Team Recruitment Leadership

Recruit, train, and develop Unit Managers / Sales Managers / Advisors.
Drive performance management through goal setting, coaching, and reviews.
Build a motivated, disciplined, and compliant sales team.

Defense Channel Management

Establish and maintain strong relationships with defense units, canteens, associations, and influencers.
Enhance Pramerica Life Insurances brand visibility and credibility in the defense ecosystem.
Support field activities, joint calls, and customer engagement initiatives.

Quality, Compliance Operations

Ensure adherence to IRDAI guidelines and company policies.
Maintain business quality, persistency, and customer service standards.
Coordinate with underwriting, operations, and service teams for smooth execution.

MIS Reporting

Track daily, weekly, and monthly MIS and KPIs.
Share performance reports, forecasts, and action plans with senior management.
Identify risks and implement corrective measures.
