As a Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing the ideal backend system architecture, addressing customer pain points, and contributing to the overall success of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

System Architecture: Develop an ideal system architecture to solve problems efficiently. Create strategic plans to achieve the long-term vision while delivering shorter-term solutions that provide immediate value to our customers
Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to understand their pain points. Collaborate on brainstorming sessions to devise innovative solutions that enhance the customer experience
Critical Thinking: Apply critical thinking to problem-solving, starting from the ground up. Challenge existing solutions and propose novel approaches free from bias

What We're Seeking:

3+ years of relevant full-time professional experience building full-stack systems
Strong experience with React.js, ReactQuery and state management (Zustand or equivalent)
Experience building backend services using Python fastAPI
Solid understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL
Strong grasp of web fundamentals (HTTP, REST APIs, browser behavior, performance)
Ability to independently own tasks and drive them to completion
Strong problem-solving skills with a first-principles mindset

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Familiarity with DBT, analytics pipelines, or data-heavy systems
Exposure to AI/ML-driven products or data platforms
Experience working in early-stage startups or fast-paced environments
Knowledge of frontend performance optimization and accessibility best practices
