Do natural resources like oil interest you? Do you want to see yourself in an oil job position? Well, in that case your tasks will include digging holes either by hand or by employing mechanical digging equipment. You will need to use maps and be able to read them well to be capable of planning where to dig. Laying as well as refurbishing pipes and mains systems is also part of oil jobs. Apart from this, following safety measures and meeting standards to do the task well is inherently an important aspect of doing well in oil jobs. The candidate should be ready to be on standby for emergencies that could be well outside normal working hours. When paired along with engineering opportunities, the candidate may be able to move right ahead into related areas, which could be technical sales, maintenance team management apart from contract management. The aspirants might also be called upon to help with not just the production, but also storage and distribution of oil. A great number of applicants for oil jobs will be required to hold at least a minimum of bachelor's degree, preferably in an applicable scientific, engineering or construction-related field. With high attention to details and the ability to break down complex processes into simple explanations, the candidate should be self-motivated and proactive. IT skills would be an added advantage.
