Job Title: Zscaler Engineer – Operations (ZIA/ZPA/Web DLP)

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 3–6 years

Role Summary

We are looking for a Zscaler Operations Engineer to manage day-to-day operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), and Web DLP deployments across enterprise environments. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring policy integrity, incident response, change management, and continuous tuning of the Zscaler platform to maintain security posture and end-user experience.

Key Responsibilities

ZIA (Zscaler Internet Access)

• Manage and maintain URL filtering, SSL inspection, cloud firewall, and sandboxing policies
• Monitor traffic logs via Nanolog/Log Streaming Service (NSS/LSS) for anomalies
• Handle policy exceptions, whitelisting/blacklisting requests, and category reclassification
• Troubleshoot SSL bypass issues, PAC file problems, and Zscaler Client Connector (ZCC) connectivity issues

ZPA (Zscaler Private Access)

• Manage App Connectors, App Segments, Server Groups, and Access Policies
• Monitor connector health, load balancing, and private service edge performance
• Troubleshoot user access issues, DNS resolution problems, and application segment misconfigurations
• Support Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) rollout for new applications

Web DLP

• Configure and maintain DLP dictionaries, engines, and policies for data exfiltration prevention
• Investigate DLP incidents, false positives, and policy violations; coordinate with compliance/legal teams
• Fine-tune DLP rules to reduce noise while maintaining detection efficacy
• Support integration of DLP with CASB (if in scope) for SaaS application coverage

General Operations

• Perform daily health checks, incident triage, and RCA documentation
• Manage change requests (CRs) through ITSM tools with proper testing and rollback plans
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge base articles for L1/L2 escalation handling
• Coordinate with Zscaler TAC for critical issues and platform bugs
• Generate periodic reports (SLA compliance, incident trends, policy audit)
• Support periodic health checks, DR drills, and platform upgrades/patches

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with ZIA, ZPA administration console
• Strong understanding of SSL/TLS inspection, PAC files, GRE/IPSec tunnels, and Zscaler Client Connector
• Working knowledge of Web/Cloud DLP policy configuration and incident handling
• Familiarity with SIEM integration (Zscaler NSS/LSS feeds)
• Understanding of Zero Trust architecture principles
• Basic networking knowledge (routing, DNS, proxy, firewall concepts)
• ITIL-based operations exposure (incident/change/problem management)

Certifications (Optional)

• ZDTA
• ZDTE

Soft Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical mindset
• Ability to work in shift-based operations (24x7 environment, if applicable)
• Good communication skills for stakeholder/customer interaction during incidents

Documentation discipline for SOPs and audit readiness.
