Work Timing- UK hours

Work Mode-3 days hybrid

The Zscaler Operations Consultant will play a key role in supporting and optimising WWT client cloud security access services across ZPA, ZIA, SIPA and related Zscaler technologies. This role is operationally focused, requiring a strong understanding of zerotrust access models, cloud security policy frameworks, and daytoday Zscaler service governance.

You will be responsible for analysing, refining, and maintaining Zscaler security policies, addressing technical debt, and ensuring the environment aligns with current best practices. Working within the ENS team, you will help strengthen operational stability, enhance service quality, and drive continuous improvement across the global environment. The role also includes incident support, service management activities, lifecycle governance, and operational readiness for new or updated services.

Collaboration with engineering teams, service delivery, incident management, and external vendors is essential. This position suits a proactive and detailoriented consultant who thrives in a dynamic operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as an operational subjectmatter expert for Zscaler technologies (ZPA, ZIA, SIPA).
• Review, refine, and optimise Zscaler policies, rules, and configurations in line with best practice.
• Identify and address operational technical debt within the Zscaler estate.
• Monitor, maintain, and improve Zscaler services to meet OLAs, KPIs, and business expectations.
• Support highseverity incidents, providing deep technical expertise for rapid resolution.
• Maintain operational governance and ensure services remain compliant, secure, and supportable.
• Work closely with global ENS teams to deliver a unified One Team operational service.
• Mentor and share knowledge with ENS team members to elevate operational capability.

Skills and Experience

Essential

• Extensive operational experience with:
• Zscaler ZIA, ZPA, SIPA (policy management, troubleshooting, tuning, optimisation)
• Secure access, cloud proxy services, and zerotrust architectures
• Strong understanding of network security concepts and enterprise cloud security operations.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a logical, structured approach.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fastpaced operational environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including stakeholder and vendor management.
• Selfstarter capable of working with minimal supervision.

Desirable

• Experience with automation or scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform) for operational tasks.
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, load balancing, and supporting infrastructure components.
• Experience with monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, Logic Monitor).
• Ability to work with audit and compliance teams.
• Exposure to connectivity in trading/financial services environments (Bloomberg, Radianz, etc.).
