Urban Company started as UrbanClap in November 2014, when its founders, Abhiraj, Raghav,
and Varun, realized that the home services industry was predominantly unorganized,
fragmented, and offline. Customers found it challenging to avail quality services conveniently,
and service professionals were struggling to make ends meet, having to rely upon several
middlemen, contractors, and local aggregators. The founders felt that the industry was ripe for
disruption, and launched Urban Company, with three key principles in mind -

Role Overview
The Zonal Training Manager will be responsible for building high-quality service capability
across the zone by owning the training, grooming, and performance enablement of salon
professionals. The role requires deep technical expertise in beauty services, strong people
leadership, and the ability to coach both trainers and professionals to deliver exceptional
at-home salon experiences.
Key Responsibilities:-
Training & Onboarding Excellence
● Own end-to-end training for newly onboarded salon professionals in the Beauty
category across the zone.
● Ensure standardized, high-quality delivery of technical and soft-skill training modules
aligned with brand and platform expectations.
Trainer Grooming & Capability Building
● Coach, mentor, and upskill city-level trainers to run effective, high-impact training
batches independently.
● Set clear training SOPs, evaluate batch quality, and conduct regular audits and
feedback sessions.
Post-Go-Live Professional Handholding
● Enable trainers to handhold professionals post go-live to ensure a smooth transition
into live service delivery.
● Address early-stage performance gaps related to service quality, customer handling,
hygiene, and protocol adherence.
Professional Engagement & Coaching
● Understand professionals prior experience, skill levels, and learning needs to tailor
coaching approaches.
● Build strong rapport and trust with professionals, enabling effective grooming and
behavioral coaching through city trainers.
● Act as a bridge between trainers, professionals, and business teams to resolve
capability or quality challenges.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
● +5 years of experience in training delivery (in-salon & virtual)
● Experience in training trainers or mentors
● Strong Technical Expertise in core beauty services, including:
Waxing, Threading, Facials, Manicure & Pedicure, Basic Hair Services
● People Leadership Experience
● Operational Mindset
