Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM) is responsible for implementing company strategies, achieving regional sales targets, and managing a team of Regional Sales Manager (RSM) , Area Sales Managers (ASMs) and Medical Representatives. They oversee product promotions, key account management, and stockist relations within a defined region of Karnataka & Kerala.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer connect: Expected to have a good KOL/KBL connect in Ophthalmology
- Strategic Sales Leadership: Develops regional strategies to achieve primary and secondary sales targets and expand market share.
- Team Management: Oversees and trains RSM/ASMs/MRs, conducts field coaching, and manages team performance, hiring, and attrition.
- Operational Control: Oversees inventory, ensures product availability, manages distributor relationships, and conducts stockist visits.
- Marketing & Promotion: Drives product launches, ensures effective product detailing, and organizes CMEs/doctor meets.
- Performance Monitoring: Reviews team reports (doctor visits, sales figures) and implements corrective actions to meet company objectives.
Qualifications
- Experience: Generally 15+ years in pharmaceutical sales, with proven experience in leading sales teams as ZSM or RSM of Karnataka & Kerala in Ophthalmology eye drops segment. Preferred to have an experience in both these regions with their HQ of either in Bangalore or Cochin/Trivandrum
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Science, or Business/Marketing.
- Skills: Strong leadership, strategic planning, analytical skills, and in-depth knowledge of the regional pharmaceutical market.
