Primary title: Zonal Sales Manager - Innerwear
About The Opportunity
A market-focused role in the apparel & innerwear sector that serves branded intimate apparel, undergarments and allied lifestyle categories across India. The position drives zone-level go-to-market executioncovering general trade, modern trade, e-commerce and distributor networksto expand reach, market share and retail sell-through under a hybrid field-office model.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own zonal sales P&L and delivery of monthly/quarterly revenue & distribution targets for innerwear categories across assigned states.
- Lead and coach a multi-city field-sales & merchandising team; set targets, conduct regular reviews and improve on-field execution.
- Manage and expand distributor & dealer networks; optimise secondary sales, inventory pull-through and replenishment cycles.
- Drive key account relationships with modern trade and e-commerce partners; negotiate commercial terms and execute channel-specific activation plans.
- Plan and execute trade promotion, merchandising and visibility programs to maximise sell-through at store level.
- Use sales forecasting, market intelligence and CRM reports to refine territory plans, pricing execution and new-biz opportunities.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven zonal/regional sales experience in the innerwear/apparel category in India.
- Distributor management experience with demonstrated expansion of secondary distribution.
- Track record in both modern trade and general trade execution.
- Experience leading field sales teams and driving on-ground merchandising standards.
- Strong expertise in route-to-market strategy, territory planning and sales forecasting.
- Comfortable with frequent field travel and hybrid work across multiple states.
Preferred
- Prior experience with national innerwear or intimate apparel brands.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce) and advanced MS Excel reporting.
- Formal sales management training or postgraduate qualification in marketing/business.
