Primary Job Title (standardized): Zonal Sales Manager - Innerwear
Role & Responsibilities
- Own zone P&L delivery: develop and execute zonal sales plans to meet revenue, margin and market-share targets.
- Manage distributor and retailer networks: onboard, enable and performance-manage distributors and key retail accounts to maximise reach and availability.
- Drive trade activation: design and implement trade promotions, merchandising standards and visibility programs that increase sell-through and frequency.
- Lead field team execution: coach, motivate and monitor zonal sales staff and merchandisers to improve productivity and KPI attainment.
- Analyse and forecast: use sales data and market insights to prepare forecasts, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
- Stakeholder coordination: collaborate with demand planning, supply chain and marketing to ensure inventory flow and campaign alignment across the zone.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven track record in apparel / innerwear sales with experience managing zonal or regional territories.
- Demonstrable experience in distributor management and retail network expansion.
- Strong capability in trade marketing and retail merchandising execution.
- Ability to create and execute route-to-market strategies that drive availability and market penetration.
- Proficiency in CRM tools for field sales tracking (Salesforce or equivalent) and strong MS Excel skills for analysis.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively across the assigned zone (onsite role).
Preferred
- Prior experience with national or large regional innerwear/apparel brands.
- Exposure to sales analytics or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) for performance reporting.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification in Marketing / Sales (advantageous).
