Job Title: Zonal Sales Manager

Location: Hyderabad or Chennai/Bangalore

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reporting To: Regional Sales Head

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Zonal Sales Manager to drive sales growth, develop key customer relationships, and lead a team of Territory Managers and Sales Engineers within the assigned zone. The role involves strategic planning, business development, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth in the assigned zone
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities
  • Prepare and manage sales forecasts and budgets

Business Development

  • Acquire new customers and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
  • Identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling within the region
  • Represent the organization at trade fairs, conferences, and customer meetings

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of Territory Managers and Sales Engineers
  • Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback and training
  • Foster a results-driven and customer-focused sales culture

Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts
  • Address and resolve customer concerns effectively
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

Operational & Market Intelligence

  • Collaborate with technical and proposal teams to develop competitive solutions
  • Ensure adherence to pricing policies and internal processes
  • Provide market insights, competitor analysis, and industry trends

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering
  • 7-10 years of experience in industrial / technical sales

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of industrial equipment, material handling systems, and process technologies
  • Knowledge of air pollution control systems, size reduction, and conveying solutions
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, ERP systems, and sales analytics platforms

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Experience in EPC / industrial equipment / capital equipment sales
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Strong team management and stakeholder handling skills
