Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Zonal Head – Stationery will lead the overall sales strategy for the stationery category across West & South zone at myTrident, a leader in high-quality, eco-friendly paper and stationery products, this role offers an exciting opportunity to candidate to build a nascent business along with team to strengthen and build a scalable distribution ecosystem. This leadership role involves managing large regional sales teams, enhancing and expanding distribution networks, and building strong relationships with channel partners.

PURPOSE AND IMPACT OF YOUR ROLE:

• Develop and execute zonal sales strategies for the stationery category to meet or exceed revenue and volume targets across the assigned zone.

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Regional Sales Managers, Area Managers, and frontline sales representatives to achieve individual and zonal business objectives.

• Drive expansion and strengthening of distribution networks, ensuring deeper market penetration across urban, semi-urban, and rural markets.

• Identify, onboard and grow key channel partners, distributors and institutional clients to enhance category reach and visibility.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, trade partners, and institutional stakeholders to drive sustained sales growth and customer loyalty.

• Analyze market trends, competitor activities and consumer insights specific to the stationery segment to identify growth opportunities and recommend product or pricing strategies.

• Conduct regular business reviews, sales performance evaluations, and capability-building initiatives to strengthen team productivity and effectiveness.

• Prepare and present zonal sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to senior leadership highlighting key achievements and growth opportunities.

• Ensure effective pipeline management and utilization of CRM systems to track sales performance and market coverage.

• Travel extensively within the zone to review field performance, engage with key stakeholders, and ensure seamless execution of business strategies.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 12-18 years of progressive experience in Channel Sales with strong exposure to distribution-driven market expansion
  • Only Candidates with prior experience in Stationery segment will be preferred.
  • Graduate / MBA in Marketing or Business Management
  • Proven track record of managing zonal or multi-territory sales operations and delivering revenue growth
  • Strong experience in distributor management, channel expansion, and market penetration across geographies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large sales teams and drive performance excellence
  • Proficiency in sales planning, forecasting, and using CRM/MIS tools for business tracking
