About the Office of Outreach:
The Office of Outreach at Ashoka University engages with a diverse range of schools across India to communicate Ashoka's vision and academic excellence to various stakeholders, including principals, counsellors, students, and parents. Spread across 8 cities, the Outreach team engages with schools across India through school presentations, career fairs, webinars, conferences, and other events. A range of digital activities is also undertaken to promote and drive applications for the undergraduate program through paid and organic social media campaigns, email marketing, webinars, WhatsApp, and SMS communications. To guide prospective students and parents through the holistic admissions process, a team of academic counsellors engages in one-on-one telephonic conversations with prospective applicants to help them with the application form and address their queries. The Outreach Office also conducts campus tours for prospective students and parents throughout the year.
About the Role:
The Deputy Director - Office of Outreach will be a dynamic and results-oriented leader responsible for developing and executing outreach strategies to achieve ambitious student recruitment targets within the Delhi-NCR, North, East, and North-East zones in India and a few international locations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of team leadership, stakeholder management, and innovative outreach initiatives. The Deputy Director will work closely with the Director - Outreach to drive business outcomes and enhance Ashoka University's visibility and reputation in key regions.
Responsibilities:
Strategy:
- Develop and implement annual outreach plans, encompassing both in-person and online engagement strategies, in collaboration with the Director - Outreach.
- Design and lead the outreach strategy for the designated geographic zones (Delhi-NCR, North, East, North-East and International), ensuring alignment with overall university recruitment goals.
- Take ownership of achieving outreach targets for the assigned regions, employing data-driven insights to optimise performance.
- Design and implement innovative outreach strategies to maximise reach and engagement with the target audience for Ashoka's undergraduate programs.
- Analyse regional and national data analytics to identify trends, best practices, and growth opportunities for outreach initiatives.
People:
- Recruit, lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of regional/territory managers within the assigned zones.
- Define clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the outreach team and consistently monitor their performance against targets.
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the outreach team.
Operations:
- Develop and manage the outreach budget for respective zones and ensure efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines
- Ensure the efficient and effective implementation of operational outreach initiatives, including principals meetings, press briefings, open houses, and participation in career fairs, to maximise reach to the target audience.
- Develop and execute impactful online and digital outreach campaigns to significantly expand reach and engagement with prospective students and parents.
- Develop and execute effectively in-demand workshops for stakeholders, conducted by Ashoka team members/faculty at schools, off-site locations, or online platforms.
Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for the designated geographic domain (Delhi-NCR, North, East, North-East, International).
- Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective school founders, administrators, counsellors, and third-party/business associates to facilitate meaningful interactions with target student and parent groups.
- Proactively manage stakeholder relationships to build trust and create opportunities for student engagement.
