Zonal Agronomist is responsible for planning and executing agronomy strategies for key crops within the assigned zone.
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute agronomy strategies for focused crops within the zone.
- Design and implement Package of Practices (POP) for key crops.
- Provide input for product positioning and hybrid advancement recommendations.
- Support business development projects and identify new crop segments and products.
Trials & Field Execution
- Plan and manage PAT (Product Advancement Trials), sampling, and agronomy trials.
- Ensure adherence to sampling protocols and service call management.
- Conduct cost-benefit (CB) analysis for Pioneer crops and FAB (Features, Advantages, Benefits) for all products.
- Collaborate with government and universities for product testing and validation.
- Periodic travel to PATs, sampling sites, and agronomy trials to monitor pipeline performance.
Training & Knowledge Transfer
- Deliver product training to Territory Business Leads (TBL), Market Development Representatives (MDRs), corporate partners, and government officials.
- Conduct crop tours and prepare Yield Books and Crop Tour Books for knowledge sharing.
- Organize data quality improvement training and audits for field teams.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and analyze reports: PAT analysis, SBS (Sales by Segment), FS (Field Summary), agronomy updates, and service call reports.
- Document findings from crop tours and trials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide post-HDM (Hybrid Development Meeting) updates to the team.
Business Development & Product Support
- Offer product positioning insights to Product Managers based on field observations.
- Support identification of new market opportunities and contribute to strategic projects.
- Ensure alignment of agronomy practices with commercial objectives.
