YouTube Strategist
At Ironman Lifestyle, we are looking for a data-driven, highly creative YouTube Strategist to take ownership of our channel's growth, authority, and audience retention. This is not a role for a general social media manager or a video editor. We need a dedicated strategist who understands human psychology, packaging (titles/thumbnails), and algorithmic growth.
You will be the architect behind our video concepts, ensuring every piece of content we produce is engineered to perform, engage, and convert viewers into loyal followers.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Conception & Script Doctoring: Pitch high-concept video ideas, engineer un-skippable hooks, and structure video outlines for maximum audience retention.
- Packaging Mastery: Ideate, test, and direct high-CTR thumbnail concepts and write compelling, psychology-driven titles.
- Data & Analytics Auditing: Dive deep into YouTube Studio analytics daily. Diagnose retention dips, monitor click-through rates ($CTR$), analyze average view duration ($AVD$), and pivot strategy based on cold data.
- Competitor & Trend Analysis: Constantly track global YouTube trends, formats, and successful channels within and outside our niche to bring fresh angles to our production.
- Team Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with our video editors and production team to ensure the final pacing, B-roll, and visual storytelling match the strategic vision.
Qualifications
- Proven Track Record: At least 2+ years of experience actively strategizing, managing, or scaling YouTube channels (you must be able to share analytics/case studies).
- The Algorithm Whisperer: Deep understanding of how the modern YouTube recommendation engine works (Browse features, Suggested, Search) and how to trigger it.
- Creative & Analytical Balance: Equal parts creative storyteller and data scientist. You enjoy brainstorming wild ideas just as much as you enjoy reading a retention graph.
- High Ownership: You thrive in an environment where you are given full creative freedom and responsibility for the performance of the channel.
