Role Description This is a full-time, on-site yacht crew role based in Kanyakumari. The crew member will support the safe and efficient operation of the yacht, including assisting with navigation tasks under supervision, maintaining cleanliness and order on deck and in interior areas, and ensuring safety procedures are followed at all times. Daily responsibilities may include guest service, cabin preparation, meal and refreshment service, and handling lines during docking and departures. The role also involves routine inspections of equipment, basic maintenance tasks, and cooperation with the captain and other crew to deliver a high-quality guest experience. The crew member is expected to work flexible hours, adhere to maritime regulations, and participate in emergency drills and training.
Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and hospitality skills, with the ability to provide courteous, professional support to guests on board.
  • Basic seamanship knowledge, including line handling, deck operations, and familiarity with safety procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Ability to perform cleaning, housekeeping, and light maintenance tasks to uphold high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Good physical fitness, stamina, and comfort working in a marine environment and varying weather conditions.
  • Effective communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to follow instructions from the captain and senior crew members.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, depending on yacht operations and guest requirements.
  • Relevant maritime or hospitality training or certifications (e.g., STCW Basic Safety Training, first aid) are highly beneficial.
  • Prior experience in yacht, cruise, or hospitality roles is an advantage, though motivated candidates with transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
