About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate WCM & Lean Consultant to create WCM awareness across the organization, develop and implement the WCM roadmap, and work in close coordination with Pillar Leads for plant improvements and audit management at our Oragadam plant. The role acts as a change agent, consultant, and facilitator to build a culture of World Class Manufacturing and continuous improvement across DICV.

Key Responsibilities

WCM Roadmap & Implementation (20%)

  • Develop and implement World Class Manufacturing roadmap for DICV
  • Benchmark WCM best practices and create an implementation plan for DICV

Pillar Leadership & Strategic Projects (20%)

  • Work in close coordination with Pillar Leads for driving strategic plant improvement projects
  • Act as deputy lead for specific WCM pillars
  • Lead transformative enterprise-level improvement projects as part of WCM framework

Audit Management (10%)

  • Responsible for necessary preparation for internal and external audits pertaining to WCM
  • Ensure audit readiness across all WCM pillars

WCM Awareness & Culture Building (10%)

  • Create platforms to promote WCM awareness across the organization
  • Act as consultant, role model, and change agent
  • Foster a mindset of experimentation, learning, and growth across all levels

Training & Capability Building (20%)

  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and coaching engagements to build internal WCM capabilities
  • Train and mentor teams on Lean tools, problem-solving, and WCM methodologies

Stakeholder Management & Reporting (20%)

  • Engage with Department Heads and Pillar Leads to drive strategic pillars as per roadmap
  • Organize and present at Steering Committee meetings monthly
  • Drive transformational projects and continuous improvements with Section Heads daily

Mandatory Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on WCM and Lean Management experience — mandatory
  • Proven track record of implementing enterprise-level transformative projects as part of WCM
  • Experience in facilitating WCM audits — internal and external
  • Strong facilitation, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement skills

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • World Class Manufacturing framework and implementation
  • Lean Management and Lean Tools — Value Stream Mapping, Line Balancing, Kaizen
  • TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and TQM (Total Quality Management)
  • Problem-solving methodologies — 8D, A3, PDCA, 5 Why
  • Project Management — enterprise-level transformation projects
  • Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or Logistics background
  • Strong facilitation, training, and coaching skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic mindset with ability to influence and inspire change
