Job Description

To be able to effectively assess risk impact of project activities and issue Safety Stand Down when deemed necessary.

Dealing with authorities, staffs, client's representatives, public, neighbours and other interested parties on matters related to safety & health.

Conduct regular inspection and see to it that person responsible for the NC recorded or raised by interested parties are informed to perform corrective actions with photos evidence of closure.

Conduct accident / incident investigations and recommendations on corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of all corrective actions taken

Ensure reporting of incident comply with legal requirement.

Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of Environmental Management System of work site

Conduct regular site inspections and follow-up actions to ensure environment compliance

Advise Project Manager on site environmental issues and solutions

Report and recommend on remedial measures on environmental issues

Prepare and submit a Site Environmental Control Programme to PM

Organise campaigns, training courses and other activities to develop and sustain the interest of staff and workers in maintaining good environmental health standards in the construction site

Other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Project Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

Preferable to have minimum 5 years of experience in building/ civil projects

Registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO)

Possess valid registration with Ministry of Manpower

Possess a level of physical fitness appropriate to the job requirements, keen observation and knowledge of WSH requirements to enforce safety compliance at the workplace
