Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated Workforce Safety Lead with a minimum of 5 years of related safety experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading safety teams and working directly with field personnel. This role requires demonstrated knowledge of workforce safety technical standards and regulations relevant to industrial workplaces, along with strong leadership, communication, strategic thinking, and program/project management skills. You'll be instrumental in collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders to uphold our safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage safety teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure effective safety program implementation.
  • Work directly with field personnel to understand their safety needs, promote safe work practices, and address concerns on the ground.
  • Apply demonstrated knowledge of workforce safety technical standards and regulations pertaining to industrial workplace settings to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee safety programs and initiatives that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead investigations into workplace incidents, determine root causes, and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, HR, engineering) to integrate safety considerations into all aspects of the business.
  • Influence internal and external stakeholders to foster a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to safety policies.
  • Utilize strong leadership, communication, strategic thinking, and program/project management skills to drive safety performance improvements.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs to educate employees on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Monitor industry trends and changes in safety regulations to ensure continuous improvement of our safety programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience leading safety teams and working with field personnel.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related safety experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of workforce safety technical standards and regulations pertaining to industrial workplace settings.
  • Strong leadership, communication, strategic thinking, and program/project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence internal and external stakeholders.
