Workday Techno-Functional Consultant

Role Overview

We are looking for a Techno-Functional Workday Consultant (60–70% Functional / 30–40% Technical) who can primarily support day-to-day functional operations while also handling basic technical tasks such as EIB loads and minor configurations.

What You'll Do

  • Provide Tier 1 support primarily across Core HCM, Time & Absence, and Benefits
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Workday system issues; escalate when required
  • Perform configuration updates (business process changes, data corrections, system maintenance)
  • Execute Workday EIB data loads (prepare, validate, troubleshoot files)
  • Create and maintain basic reports and data extracts
  • Support daily HR operations (employee updates, transactions, process support)
  • Assist in system testing, enhancements, and release activities
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across Workday processes
  • Partner with People Team and global stakeholders for operational support
  • Document processes, known issues, and resolutions

Mandatory Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of hands-on Workday experience (Core HCM required)
  • Strong experience in:
  • Core HCM
  • Time Tracking & Absence
  • Workday EIB data loads
  • Benefits
  • Experience supporting Workday business processes and configurations
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and support end users effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tasks independently in a part-time role
  • Good communication skills with ability to work with global teams

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Workday integrations (especially Cloud Connect for Benefits)
  • Experience with additional modules (Compensation, Payroll, Talent)
  • Experience in a support/shared services environment
  • Exposure to Workday release cycles or system testing
  • Experience in documentation or knowledge base creation
  • Familiarity with HR data flows and integrations

Additional Notes

  • This is primarily a support-focused role with involvement in minor enhancements and configuration changes (not heavy development).
  • Candidates are not expected to have experience across all Workday modules—focus should be on Core HCM, Time & Absence, EIBs, and Benefits.
