Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Workday Technical Architect to serve as the subject matter expert across a large portfolio of Workday integrations. The ideal candidate will lead the full integration lifecycle — research, design, development, testing, and delivery — while partnering closely with business and IT stakeholders to drive the overall Workday strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as SME on large collections of Workday integrations
- Lead research, design, development, testing, and delivery of new Workday Integrations
- Create detailed integration specifications, field mappings, and designs across the full integration deployment lifecycle
- Work with business stakeholders to identify problem areas and assess project impact
- Research integration failures, perform root cause analysis, and report findings to management and business leaders
- Partner with business leaders and IT teams to align on objectives and programs
- Understand data flows and system usage between internal systems and Workday; drive alignment with other system owners
- Develop and modify Finance integrations (Workday to internal/external clients) using PGP/SSH key management, calculated fields, custom reports, EIBs, Document Transformation, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and Web Services
- Provide production support on Workday integrations — resolving technology, process, and access issues
- Gather and document business requirements with clients
- Support design, testing, and delivery of Workday integrations alongside colleagues
- Participate in walkthroughs reviewing integration changes, source code, and technical documentation
Mandatory Skills
- Workday Studio – 7+ years relevant experience
- Workday Architecture – integration deployment lifecycle, specifications & field mapping
- Workday HCM or Workday FINANCE – Finance integrations (Workday to internal/external clients)
- Workday Integrations – Web Services, XML, XSLT, SOAP, Java
Good-to-Have Skills
- Prism – working knowledge of Prism Analytics
- Extend – working knowledge of Workday Extend
- PGP / SSH key management
