Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Workday Payroll & Integration Architect to design and lead an enterprise-grade Direct Deposit control framework. The role focuses on architecting secure, auditable payroll processes and seamless integrations between Workday Payroll, ServiceNow HR Service Delivery, and banking systems.
This is a high impact architecture role requiring deep payroll domain expertise, strong integration design skills, and the ability to build compliant, scalable enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect the end-to-end payroll workflow across Workday, ServiceNow HRSD, and banking systems
- Configure Workday Payroll controls, holds, approvals, and governance rules
- Design custom tracking fields and validation frameworks
- Own bank pre-note processing and reconciliation flows
- Define integration architecture and field mappings
- Align ServiceNow HRSD workflows with payroll controls
- Specify security architecture and audit mechanisms
- Design error-handling and recovery procedures
- Support testing, UAT, and go-live readiness
- Produce complete architecture and operational documentation

Required Skills & Experience
- 710 years Workday Payroll and integration experience
- Strong Workday Payroll configuration expertise
- Deep knowledge of payroll controls and governance
- Experience with Direct Deposit validation processes
- Bank pre-note batch and reconciliation experience
- Workday integrations (EIB, Studio, APIs)
- REST API integration with workflow platforms
- Experience with ServiceNow HR Service Delivery
- Strong architecture documentation and workshop leadership
- Operational mindset with focus on auditability
