Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Workday Payroll / HCM Contractor to support implementation, enhancement, maintenance, and production support activities across Workday Human Capital Management and Payroll modules. The role involves close collaboration with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT stakeholders to deliver efficient, compliant, and scalable Workday solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain Workday HCM and Payroll modules based on business requirements.
  • Support payroll processing, validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend system improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Create and maintain calculated fields, custom reports, dashboards, and integrations.
  • Work on EIBs, Workday Studio/Core Connectors, and inbound/outbound integrations as needed.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely support to end users.
  • Participate in testing activities including unit testing, UAT, regression, and payroll parallel testing.
  • Support Workday releases by analyzing impacts and implementing enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and Finance.
  • Prepare functional documentation, SOPs, and knowledge transfer materials.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in Workday HCM and Payroll modules.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, payroll calculations, taxation, and compliance.
  • Experience with:
  • Business Process configuration
  • Calculated fields
  • Advanced reporting
  • EIBs
  • Security configuration
  • Workday integrations
  • Knowledge of Workday Payroll, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, or Benefits is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex system and payroll issues.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in implementation or support projects.

Mandatory

  • Active Workday certification in HCM and/or Payroll.
