Job Description

What You'll Do

  • Provide Workday programming expertise as part of a Workday Integrations team which is expected to develop, monitor, support and enhance about 100 integrations.
  • Understand the end-to-end data flow for assigned integrations (from Workday to 3rd parties and vice-versa), including performing hands-on Workday configuration and code updates as required so that integrations running across multiple technologies deliver the required business outcomes.
  • Ensure GBT's approximately 30 global payroll integrations, mainly based on PECI and PICOF, follow Workday guidelines. Minimize ongoing maintenance and ensure efficient operation to accurately pay all GBT staff.
  • Develop, build, test and deploy new integrations using groundbreaking technologies to facilitate good business outcomes and position GBT to meet future requirements
  • Understand and provide input on integrating Workday into the larger Enterprise Architecture for the organization (SSO, IP whitelisting, toolset changes, PGP Privacy)
  • Engage directly with collaborators (internal and external) to develop requirements, solve problems and develop solutions
  • Understand data governance and security
  • Participate in Agile Integration development that focuses on accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, clear documentation and problem resolution
  • Design and develop interfaces and conduct unit and integration tests
  • Perform integration regression testing

What We're Looking For

  • Strong Workday Studio development experience
  • Demonstrated experience with Workday development tool sets: Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, Studio BIRT Module).
  • Deep technical experience with XSLT, XTT, XML and object-oriented development. Other languages (Python, Javascript, etc) are helpful.
  • Experience with APIs and Web Services standards (WSDL, SOAP, REST)
  • Experience integrating Workday Time & Absence to 3rd party systems is helpful. Previous experience developing PECI integrations preferred
  • An interest in extending Workday with tools such as Workday Extend is helpful
  • Ability to work and coordinate with third parties on integration related inquiries including testing and communications
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field is required. This includes Information Technology, Computer Science, Software, Engineering, or related areas. An equivalent combination of training and work experience is also acceptable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and leadership
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to frequent change while maintaining focused calm in the face of challenges
