About The Role – Workday Financials Specialist

In this role, you will be part of a high-performing Business Systems & IT team that shapes the future of our enterprise software landscape. You will collaborate across Finance and Accounting teams, solve complex technical challenges, and drive continuous optimization, administration, reporting, and integration support for Xactly's Workday Financials (ERP) ecosystem.

What You'll Do

• Configure & Administer Platform: Execute day-to-day administration, user support, and business process configuration across core Workday Financials modules (General Ledger, AP, AR, Expenses, Asset Management, and Procurement).
• Build Reporting & Integrations: Design, test, and deploy custom matrix/composite reports, complex calculated fields, and basic inbound/outbound integrations using Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) and Core Connector.
• Resolve Issues & Support Operations: Triage application support tickets, troubleshoot configuration issues, and optimize business process workflows and approval security domains for finance stakeholders.
• Manage SDLC & Upgrades: Participate in bi-annual Workday release cycles, lead regression testing, and maintain documentation following established SDLC and change management policies.
• Support Extended Integrations: Assist senior engineering team members in supporting cross-application workflows and data feeds connected via tools like Python, Workato, or REST/SOAP APIs.
  
  

Must-Have Skills

What We're Looking For

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
• Workday Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on experience configuring and supporting Workday Financials modules (Core Financials, AP, AR, Expenses, Asset Management).
• Reporting & Integrations: 2+ years of experience crafting custom Workday reports, calculated fields, and basic EIB/Core Connector integrations.
• Domain & Architecture Knowledge: Fundamental understanding of Workday Financials architecture, security domains, business process frameworks, and standard accounting workflows.
• SDLC Process: Exposure to Agile/Scrum/Kanban practices along with standard software delivery lifecycles (QA, UAT, and release management).
  
  

Good-to-Have Skills

• Technical Integration Exposure: Basic exposure or experience with Python, Workato, or REST/SOAP APIs.
• Data Warehousing: Basic exposure to cloud data warehousing tools or concepts (e.g., Snowflake or Databricks).
• Soft Skills: Methodical problem-solver with strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional alignment.
