Role Description The Workday Adaptive Planning Developer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining planning models and reporting solutions within Workday Adaptive Planning. Day-to-day tasks include configuring models, dimensions, and rules; developing dashboards and management reports; and optimizing data integrations from source systems such as ERP and financial tools. The role involves collaborating with finance, operations, and IT stakeholders to understand planning requirements, translate them into technical designs, and implement scalable solutions that support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis. The developer will also troubleshoot issues, perform system testing, document configurations, and support end users through training, guidance, and ongoing enhancements to the planning environment.
Qualifications
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning (or similar enterprise planning tools), including model design, configuration, reporting, and dashboard development.
- Strong background in financial planning and analysis concepts, such as budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario modeling.
- Proficiency with data integration and transformation, including working with ERP, cloud, or database systems to load and reconcile planning data.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and solutions.
- Competence using spreadsheets and related tools (e.g., Excel, Adaptive OfficeConnect) for data analysis and report creation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, client-focused setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in consulting or in technology-driven finance transformation projects is beneficial.
- Familiarity with AI, ML, cloud, or ERP concepts and their application to enterprise planning and analytics is a plus.
