IT Services and IT Consulting based out of Texas is Looking for:
Job Title: WordPress & Server Administrator
Overview:
Responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress websites and underlying server infrastructure. Ensures performance, security, uptime, and scalability across hosting environments.
Schedule & Availability:
- Standard hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Central Time
- On-call availability for emergency issues
- Occasional off-hours maintenance windows
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain WordPress sites (updates, plugins, themes, troubleshooting)
- Optimize site performance, caching, and Core Web Vitals
- Administer and manage cPanel/WHM environments
- Perform Linux system administration (AlmaLinux, CloudLinux)
- Configure and maintain LiteSpeed Enterprise (LSCache, tuning)
- Manage and configure Cloudflare (DNS, caching, WAF, performance)
- Handle backups, migrations, and disaster recovery
- Monitor uptime, logs, and server health
- Implement and maintain security best practices (firewalls, malware scanning, patching)
- Maintain compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, and PCI requirements
- Work with AWS EC2 instances
- Use GitHub for version control and collaboration
- Troubleshoot DNS, SSL, email delivery, and hosting issues
Required Skills:
- Strong WordPress administration experience
- Expertise in cPanel/WHM administration
- Expertise in Linux system administration (AlmaLinux, CloudLinux)
- Expertise in LiteSpeed Enterprise
- Expertise in Cloudflare (DNS, WAF, caching)
- Expertise with AWS EC2
- Strong MySQL/MariaDB management and optimization
- Experience maintaining SOC 2, HIPAA, or PCI compliant environments
- Proficiency with GitHub
- Understanding of web hosting, DNS, SSL, and networking fundamentals
Preferred / Bonus:
- Experience with Ansible or infrastructure automation tools
- CI/CD pipeline experience
- Experience with serverless AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog
- Familiarity with security tools like Imunify360
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in WordPress and server administration
- Proven experience managing production hosting environments
