Role Overview
We are looking to onboard a tech-savvy, purpose-driven developer who can take ownership of our web platforms and contribute to building a strong, scalable digital presence for iDream Education and iPrep.
This role sits at the intersection of WordPress development and modern frontend engineering.
- You will own and manage our WordPress-based websites (iDream & iPrep) from day one
- At the same time, you will contribute to and grow into frontend development for product and web applications
This is not a WordPress-only role. We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong working experience with WordPress
- Also has hands-on exposure to frontend development (React or similar)
- Is eager to grow into broader frontend / fullstack responsibilities over time

Core Responsibilities
- WordPress Development & Website Ownership (Primary Responsibility)
- Own and manage WordPress-based websites for iDream and iPrep
- Build and maintain pages using themes, templates, and page builders
- Develop and customise themes, templates, and reusable components where required
- Create scalable page structures that allow quick creation of landing pages without code bloat
- Ensure website performance across devices (mobile and desktop)
- Manage hosting, deployments, backups, and basic security practices
- Continuously monitor and improve site speed and reliability
- Frontend Development for Web & Product (Growing Responsibility)
- Build and contribute to frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React or similar)
- Translate design files (Figma or similar) into clean, maintainable UI
- Work with backend teams to integrate APIs into web interfaces and product flows
- Contribute to building reusable components and improving consistency across platforms
- Support development of product-facing web experiences (e.g., onboarding flows, dashboards, landing interactions)
This role requires demonstrated interest and hands-on exposure to frontend development, even if at a basic or intermediate level.
- Technical SEO & Website Structure (Collaborative Responsibility)
- Implement SEO-related requirements in collaboration with internal/external SEO experts
- Support improvements in site structure, page hierarchy, and internal linking
- Implement schema markup and structured data where required
- Ensure pages are technically sound (meta tags, alt tags, clean URLs, etc.)
- Help identify and fix basic technical issues such as broken links, redirects, and crawl errors
- Analytics & Tracking (Implementation-Focused)
- Work with marketing and product teams to implement tracking using tools like GA4 and Google Tag Manager
- Set up and maintain tracking for key actions (clicks, form submissions, navigation flows, etc.)
- Support analysis by ensuring clean and reliable tracking data
- Exposure to advanced analytics setups is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Performance & Continuous improvement
- Monitor and improve website performance (load time, responsiveness, usability)
- Apply best practices such as image optimisation, caching, and efficient asset loading
- Support improvements based on user behaviour and team feedback
- AI Tools & Evolving Practices (Light but Important)
- Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT or similar) to assist with coding, debugging, and problem-solving
- Support content structuring and metadata generation using AI where useful
- Stay updated with evolving best practices in frontend development and web performance
Technical Skills Required
Must Have
- Strong working experience with WordPress (themes, plugins, page builders, site management)
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Hands-on exposure to at least one frontend framework/library (React, Vue, or similar)
- Experience translating designs into functional UI
- Understanding of responsive design and cross-device compatibility
Good to Have
- Experience with custom WordPress development (themes, blocks, plugins)
- Basic understanding of SEO concepts and implementation
- Familiarity with GA4 / Google Tag Manager
- Experience working with APIs in frontend applications
- Exposure to performance optimisation techniques (Core Web Vitals, caching, CDN, etc.)

- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in web development
- Comfortable working across both WordPress and frontend development
- Strong willingness to learn and expand into new technologies and responsibilities
- Problem-solving mindset — able to debug and resolve issues independently
- Attention to detail in UI, performance, and implementation
- Ability to collaborate with designers, marketers, and product teams
- Comfortable using AI tools to improve productivity and learning
