Role Description This is a full-time, on-site WordPress Developer role based in Pune City. The WordPress Developer will build, customize, and maintain WordPress-based websites and web applications, including custom themes, child themes, and plugins. The role includes translating design mockups into responsive, accessible front-end layouts, optimizing site performance, and ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. The developer will collaborate with designers, product teams, and marketing to implement new features, integrate third-party services and APIs, and support content updates and landing page creation. Daily responsibilities also involve troubleshooting issues, applying security best practices, keeping WordPress core, themes, and plugins updated, and contributing to continuous improvement of the web platform.
Qualifications

• Strong front-end development skills, including WordPress theme development, Responsive Web Design, and Web Design.
• Experience with core Web Development concepts, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP within the WordPress ecosystem.
• Practical knowledge of Back-End Web Development for WordPress, such as custom post types, taxonomies, hooks, filters, and REST API integration.
• Hands-on experience configuring and managing WordPress environments, including performance optimization, caching, security hardening, and SEO-friendly implementation.
• Familiarity with modern build tools and workflows (e.g., Git, package managers, task runners) and debugging tools for browser and server-side issues.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in SaaS or data-focused products and prior work on high-traffic, content-rich WordPress sites is an advantage.
