Job Overview
We are looking for talented WordPress Developer to join our team in Mohali. The ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in WordPress and its plugin, custom theme development, excellent problem-solving skills, and expertise in modern tech stacks.You will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining our internal WordPress-based web projects. We are looking for someone who is comfortable
owning a website end-to-end for a long period of time, understands how to keep it healthy, updated, and optimized, and can build custom solutions from scratch using PHP.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain WordPress-based internal websites end-to-end
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented custom PHP code
- Build and customize WordPress themes from scratch or from existing frameworks
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins as per business requirements
- Manage and enhance WooCommerce stores including custom product types, checkout flows, and payment integrations
- Own the long-term maintenance of websites including updates, backups, security patches, and performance optimization
- Integrate third-party APIs and services into WordPress
- Collaborate with the design team to implement pixel-perfect UI from Figma/XD designs
- Use AI tools to improve development efficiency and productivity in day-to-day tasks
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve website issues quickly and efficiently
- Monitor website performance and security on an ongoing basis
- Maintain proper version control using Git
Required Qualifications
Core Skills
- 2-8 years of hands-on experience in WordPress Development
- Strong proficiency in Custom PHP Development
- Deep understanding of WordPress architecture — hooks, filters, actions, custom post types, taxonomies
- Experience in WooCommerce — setup, customization, extensions, and payment gateways
- Hands-on experience in WordPress Theme Development (from scratch or child themes)
- Experience in WordPress Plugin Development (custom plugins)
- Strong knowledge of MySQL — writing optimized queries, database management
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
- Experience with REST API and WP REST API integrations
- Familiarity with ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), Elementor, or Gutenberg block development
- Good command over Core PHP and OOP (Object-Oriented Programming)
- Experience writing reusable, scalable PHP code
- Awareness and basic hands-on usage of AI tools like ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar
- Ability to use AI tools to speed up coding, debugging, and content tasks
- Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving AI-assisted development workflows
