Zenith is a boutique consulting firm based in Bangalore, New York, and Dubai, supported by a global network of partner offices. We help startups build fractional finance teams blending big-corporate sophistication with startup-speed execution. We are expanding our digital capabilities and looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to work on Zenith's website as well as multiple client websites. https://zenithglobal.io/
This is a project-based, remote role with flexible hours evenings or weekends are welcome, and there is potential for ongoing work.
Role Responsibilities
- Build, redesign, and optimize multiple WordPress websites (Zenith + client projects).
- Convert Figma, Sketch, or other design files into pixel-perfect WordPress pages.
- Develop custom functionalities, templates, and components (forms, dashboards, APIs, plugins).
- Ensure SEO-friendly structure, fast loading speeds, strong security, and performance optimization.
- Maintain brand consistency across all websites while implementing responsive design.
- Select, configure, and manage plugins and integrations.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and perform QA to ensure smooth deployments.
- Handle hosting, staging, and deployment workflows as needed.
- Provide guidance on best practices for CMS structure, content updates, and ongoing maintenance.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to align on website goals, requirements, and timelines.
What We're Looking For
- Strong portfolio of live WordPress websites, showing custom development and end-to-end project ownership.
- 2+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience or equivalent demonstrated ability via portfolio.
- Expert knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress template hierarchy.
- Experience with Elementor, Gutenberg, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), WooCommerce (nice-to-have).
- Familiarity with SEO fundamentals, page speed optimization, and accessibility standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
