Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled WordPress Developer to support our web development initiatives. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the full software development lifecycle - from planning, designing, coding, testing, and deployment, to maintenance and optimization.
Currently, we do not have any WordPress developer, which creates a major delivery and maintenance gap. This role will become the single point of ownership for all WordPress-based systems and future enhancements.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain custom WordPress themes using PHP, ACF, Gutenberg blocks, and Theme Frameworks.
- Build and extend custom WordPress plugins using best practices.
- Manage WordPress multisite installations (if required).
- Build custom WordPress themes using Figma/PSD/UI designs.
- Customize WooCommerce, membership systems, and advanced WordPress setups.
- Manage WordPress optimization (speed, caching, SEO improvements).
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, CRM tools, and marketing platforms.
- Troubleshoot and fix WordPress issues, bugs, security problems, and performance challenges.
- Maintain best practices for WordPress security, backups, and updates.
Back-End Development
- Strong experience with PHP, MySQL & JavaScript.
- Write secure, efficient, and scalable backend logic.
- Develop custom functionalities and backend logic.
- Work with data validation, sanitization, and secure user authentication.
DevOps & Deployment
- Experience with Git/GitHub.
- Knowledge of hosting management (cPanel, SiteGround, cloud servers).
- Deploy websites to production and ensure smooth performance.
Personal Skills
- Ability to work in a team and an individual as well
- Must have solution-driven approach
- Desired candidate should be a good Googler when it comes to R&D and problem solving.
