Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a WordPress Developer. The WordPress Developer will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites and themes, including both front-end and back-end components. Daily tasks include creating and modifying templates, implementing responsive layouts, integrating plugins and APIs, and optimizing site performance and security. The role involves collaborating with designers, project managers, and other developers to translate requirements into scalable, user-friendly WordPress solutions. The WordPress Developer will also troubleshoot issues, perform regular updates, and ensure websites align with best practices and client specifications.
Qualifications
- Strong front-end skills in WordPress development, including Front-End Development, Responsive Web Design, and Web Design.
- Solid experience with Back-End Web Development for WordPress, including custom themes, plugins, and database interactions.
- Proficiency in general Web Development practices, including cross-browser compatibility, performance optimization, and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL in a WordPress environment.
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to interpret design mockups and functional requirements into fully functional WordPress sites.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with SEO best practices, page speed optimization, and web accessibility is an advantage.
