Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior WordPress & Shopify Developer to lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of our WordPress service website (hoora.in) and our Shopify D2C store (shop.hoora.in). This is a full-ownership role involving end-to-end web developmentarchitecture, UI implementation, performance optimization, SEO, integrations, landing pages, and CRO.
Key Responsibilities
1. WordPress Development & Management
- Own development and maintenance of hoora.in
- Custom theme development and modifications
- Build landing pages, forms, microsites
- Ensure Lighthouse/PageSpeed scores >85
- Manage plugins, caching, security, and performance
- Handle basic server operations (Linux, DNS, Cloudflare, backups)
2. Shopify Store Development
- Manage and develop shop.hoora.in using Liquid
- Customize themes, checkout, cart logic, and product pages
- Implement upsells, bundles, and CRO-driven UI components
- Integrate payment gateways, shipping, GST invoicing, review apps, and analytics
- Optimize store performance, schema, and mobile UX
3. Front-End Engineering
- Expert-level HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Build responsive UI components across WordPress and Shopify
- Fix alignment issues, animations, and browser/device inconsistencies
4. Integrations & Automation
- Integrate CRM, WhatsApp, analytics, and tracking pixels
- GA4, Meta, and GTM implementations
- SEO technical execution (schema, redirects, robots, sitemaps)
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Product, Marketing, and Growth teams for A/B tests, landing pages, and campaigns
- Manage promotional updates and seasonal changes
- Lead junior developers or external vendors when required
- Own and maintain the entire web presence of Hoora
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of WordPress development (custom themes)
- Strong experience with Shopify Liquid
- Expert in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
- Strong PHP knowledge
- REST API integrations
- Page speed optimization and technical SEO fundamentals
Good-to-Have
- Shopify Plus or Shopify Scripts experience
- Pixel-perfect implementation from Figma
- Basic Git
- Familiarity with Cloudflare, Hostinger, cPanel, AWS S3
- Experience with CRO tools (Hotjar, Clarity, VWO)
