The core requirements for the job include the following:
- Current or previous digital marketing agency experience.
- Building sites for US and/or UK clients.
- 1+ years of front-end-focused web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- 5+ years of WordPress experience, including theme development, WordPress dashboard and core methods/functions, WordPress security adherence/plugin utilisation, WordPress coding standards/guidelines adherence, PHP, MySQL, and plugin overriding.
Technologies Desired
- Plugin Development.
- PHP standards, PSR.
- PHP frameworks like CodeIgniter and Laravel.
- Agile/Scrum Methodology.
- DevOps (optional).
- AWS knowledge and/OR server deployment knowledge (optional).
Your Experience
- Act as an individual contributor/WordPress developer towards projects.
- Act as a mentor/buddy/coach for others/less experienced.
- Proactively communicate and problem-solve with everyone on your team (designers, developers, testers, and project managers) and clients.
- Help define, improve and enforce/review coding standards - both Axioned's and the client's.
- Execute on designs/user experiences that meet the defined design/user story/acceptance criteria/definition of done, with minimal to no behaviour/functional/appearance/speed issues (across the defined in-scope devices and browsers).
- Interact directly with foreign (USA/UK/Australia) partners and clients in support of your PM/team.
- Continue to R and D new technologies, frameworks, and best practices within FED.
- Share proactively with the team and clients.
- Constantly share your experiences - including mistakes - proactively with the team.
