WordPress Backend Developer

We are looking for a strong WordPress Backend Developer who has deep knowledge of PHP, MySQL, custom plugin development, WordPress core architecture, backend logic building, and API integrations.

The role is 100% backend-focused with heavy coding responsibilities.

• Develop custom WordPress plugins from scratch (must).
• Build complex backend logic, data handling, and custom functionalities.
• Work with WordPress hooks, filters, actions, REST API, and custom database tables.
• Create and optimize MySQL queries, schema, relationships, and performance.
• Integrate third-party APIs and build custom REST endpoints.
• Debug deep backend issues, error logs, server issues, and code conflicts.
• Ensure backend security, sanitization, validation, and code quality.
• Work with Git/GitHub, staging environments, and hosting servers.

• 34 years of hands-on WordPress backend development experience.
• Strong coding skills in PHP (OOP) and MySQL.
• Expert understanding of custom post types, taxonomies, meta fields.
• Must know plugin architecture, hooks, filters, cron jobs, custom tables.
• Experience with API development and integrations.
• Knowledge of server-side debugging (cPanel, logs, PHP errors).
• Basic frontend understanding (HTML, CSS, JS) only for integration.

• WooCommerce backend customizations (cart, checkout, hooks).
• Performance optimization (query optimization, caching logic).
• Experience with Composer, WP-CLI, or advanced tooling.

• Strong backend problem solver and logical thinker.
• Can independently build backend systems without relying on plugins.
• Writes clean, reusable, and secure PHP code.
• Comfortable handling complex development tasks.
